When I woke up in ancient Rome
Two thousand years away from home
A lump of plastic for a heart
My girl, I swore I'd do my part.
Two thousand years may seem too long
But Heaven knows, love is that strong
The slow path I said I would take
Two thousand years, then you would wake.
I'd never known that years had wings
Until I'd seen a hundred springs
A hundred springs, with winters too
My girl, what is this man to do?
For years have wings but days drag on
As I stand by through times long gone
For I stand tall where others chafed
My girl, I swore to keep you safe.
A hundred springs with winters too,
Do you still know that I loved you?
There in your long enchanted sleep
Unknowing bliss, in dreams so deep
I'll tell you, though you cannot hear
I'm not a hero, I feel fear
This world is such a restless place
So lacking order peace or grace
When will I see your face?
Meanwhile They guessed, but little knew
The decades passed, the tales grew
They told of one in Roman garb
Whose duty was to ever guard
Pandorica, the box of stone
And stood before it all alone
Why does he guard it steadfastly?
Who is this man? Who may he be?
What is this box? What is inside?
And no one knew but He and I
My love, my past and future bride.
Two thousand years may seem too long
But heaven knows, love is that strong
I've seen this land, I've seen it grow
From dark to light, from rain to snow
But all in all, I'm still the same
The Roman with the unknown name
I'll tell you love, though you can't hear
You are so far, but yet so near
Remember me, when you awake
Keep me in mind, for both our sakes
Remember me, when you awake.

Alone- Doctor Who
She was gone.
She left me here in the box, all alone.
I cried.
It hurt.
I cried.
I became depressed. I barely ate or slept.
I cried her name out every night.
Why?
I cried.
Why?
Why did you leave me?
Amy.
Why?
Amy.
Amelia Pond.
Little Amelia Pond.
Why did you leave me?
Your Raggedy Doctor.
You left me.
Amy, it hurt.
It still hurts.
I miss you. Do you miss me?
Amy.
I showed up at her house one night. Out of the blue.
Box.
She was sleeping. I climbed in her window and sat on the floor.
I didn't mean to wake her up with my sobs.
She sat straight up, shaking her ginger locks out of her face.
"Doctor?"

Doctor Who - Fates
Fates
We have met.
We have met ten,
A hundred,
A thousand times.
A chance touch,
A prophetic conversation,
A fateful kiss,
All separated by centuries, by faces,
By innumerable layers
Of possibility and probability and causality.
We have loved.
We have loved the love of a tryst,
A marriage,
A child.
We have learned too late.
We have known all along.
We have parted still in ignorance.
We have loved within and throughout and despite
Every permutation of reality.
And wherever we tread in the can and cannot
We leave footprints to be followed later,
Unwittingly,
Keywords and clasped hands.
You tell me to Run,
And Bad Wo

Old Eyes
Everywhere I go people ask for my story.
Am I a rich man with everything, or just a traveler on the streets?
It's Christmas Time snow falling gently.
I might try not, but I think back to when that snow wasn't real.
I thought it be different by now, you know, after all the pain.
I thought after every loss that there's always something to gain.
Sure there're some things I don't care about like this bowtie on my neck.
But I'm tired of running away and always turning my back.
So what kind of story should I tell you?
The one of fear and truth.
You decide; I will not push you.
I'll even tell you pretty lies.
Because underne

For the contest, "The Boy who waited." I haven't done fan-poetry in AGES. Yeah, I'm pretty happy with this one, I tried to incorporate some little quotes and tidbits from other Doctor Who songs and episodes..."The slow path I said I would take" is a ref to "The Girl in the Fireplace", while "My girl, what is this man to do" is from Love Don't Roam and "The world is such a restless place" from Song for ten. Not really related, but I like to allude.
