Get Your Head Out of the Clouds

Sketched at Starbucks yesterday, watercolored later. All the people in the pic were people who actually were there...I got the idea of leaving the heads blank and white when I started to do the faces, but then thought that it would be more interesting if they were vague and cloudy (Not that I CAN'T draw faces!) Plus I'd been thinking about the art of Zach Johnsen, who did such pictures like this [link] in which there would be really detailed drawings of mundane people with colorful explosions in place of their heads. Well, I decided not to do the colorful explosion part, but it did seem like everyone was on their phone or something while waiting for their coffee, not really paying attention to anyone else, so it was as if everyone's faces were a complete blank to them.
